Official Open - 'Pod Pendalar'

A Big Step Towards Independence

Ysgol Pendalar has celebrated the official opening of 'Pod Pendalar' – a new facility specifically created for the school's 14–19-year-old pupils. The pod offers a warm and homely environment where pupils can practise and develop independent living skills, such as cooking, managing money, and organising everyday life.

During the opening event, Education Officers, Governors, and parents were welcomed. Guests had the opportunity to meet the pupils and hear directly from them about the positive experiences and new skills they have gained.

Parents were full of praise for the new initiative. One parent said:

“The pod offers a unique opportunity for our children to learn life skills in a practical and relevant way.  It’s wonderful to see how much they enjoy and benefit from the experience.”

Another parent added:

“It’s truly wonderful to see our children being given the chance to prepare for the future in such a supportive and safe environment.”

The school is extremely proud of this development, considering it an important step in preparing young people for life beyond school, empowering them to be confident and independent members of society.
