'Taith' Trip to France 2025

Trip to France – June 2025

There simply aren’t enough words to fully describe this incredible trip.
The thrill of travelling abroad together for the very first time is something that will stay in our memories forever, for so many different reasons.

As we travelled by bus to the airport, everyone was extremely excited – and of course, a few were a little nervous – as this was the first time many of our pupils had travelled abroad, and to do so with their friends and staff made it even more special.
Everything went smoothly after months of planning and preparation, and off we went, up into the blue skies for the short flight to Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris. Bags collected, and then straight on to Les Villages Nature.

The sun was shining as we walked through this beautiful park to find our accommodation. These would be our homes for the next four nights – and honestly – everything was perfect! Luxurious houses with large gardens and plenty of space to eat and relax together across the three huge houses.

Of course, the first activity in the glorious sunshine was swimming at the water park – Aqua Mundo. What an experience!
While some of us relaxed in the outdoor pool enjoying the stunning view of the large lake, others were seeking adventure on the water slides – some fast and very scary! Smiles all round before heading for dinner and a chance to unwind while watching Wales play football – after a long day of travelling and fun!

Tuesday was our trip to the capital. After a short journey through the magical streets of Paris, a boat trip on the River Seine was next. Once again, blazing sunshine and a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower! Everyone was amazed by its size and height – and there we were, pupils and staff from Ysgol Pendalar standing beneath one of the world’s most famous landmarks! A short walk around the city before tasting the delicious ice cream at La Pistacherie! Then off to bed – as a big day awaited us tomorrow!!

Hello Disney!!

Wednesday brought an unforgettable visit. Yes indeed, the Pendalar crew had come to say hello to everyone at Disneyland and Disney Studios!! An absolutely incredible day. From the colours, sounds, music, rides, shows – everything was thrilling! Some brave pupils even went on rides like The Tower of Terror and Space Mountain! Others loved watching the endless parades and shopping for unique Disney souvenirs. To crown it all, we enjoyed an amazing and emotional light show before heading back to our beds. A day that will stay in our memories forever!

Fun at the Water Park!

At the pupils’ request – another day at the water park was our final day. Fun and laughter once again, before enjoying our last evening meal prepared between all three houses. Plenty of food and conversation as we enjoyed each other’s company. Then, what better way to end the holiday than karaoke and a disco? A fantastic chance to meet people from other countries and chat about our favourite experiences.

Before heading home – we had a quick bite to eat at the Creperie and a fast game of bowling. Truly, there are no words to fully describe the excitement of this amazing trip. But in the words of one pupil: “It really was the best week of my life. Thank you so much.”

Without the grant from Taith – it would not have been possible to organise such incredible experiences. We feel very fortunate.
